The successful growth of <a href="http://www.sciencedirect.com/science?_ob=ArticleURL&_udi=B6TJ6-4SVC5TY-1&_user=10&_rdoc=1&_fmt=&_orig=search&_sort=d&view=c&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_urlVersion=0&_userid=10&md5=c303b9479d7571b3da58f328533d9781" target="_blank">Zn2Te3O8</a> and ZnTeO3 was performed for the first time. Optical, electrical, and structural studies on the grown crystals were performed. Currently, the growth of single crystals of doped GGG is being developed, the search for crystals that can detect Gamma-rays at ambient temperatures the purpose of this promising crystals.  The glass form of ZnO-TeO2 system was intensively studied, and some electrical and optical properties were determined. A <a href="http://scripts.iucr.org/cgi-bin/paper?iz3022" target="_blank">new compound/phase </a>in the ZnO-TeO2 system was discovered using powder and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal structure and several important physical properties of this new compound have been identified. Simulation of the new compound and other X-ray results were done by CrystalDiffract and CrystalMaker computer software.<o:p></o:p> </td> <td style="padding: 1.5pt; background: rgb(255, 255, 204) none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial;" valign="top"> Side Projects: <ul type="disc"> <li class="MsoNormal" style="">The design and the making of a weighing system to measure the mass of the growing crystal during CZ growths. The weighing system was automated to control the growth using LabView. <o:p></o:p></li> <li class="MsoNormal" style="">The exothermic reaction of selenium, germanium, and tellurium mixture at high temperatures was also studied. <o:p></o:p></li> <li class="MsoNormal" style="">Experimental equipment design/development, particle synthesis, and a wide range of analytical testing techniques. Powder handling and processing e.g. safety, milling, and consolidation. Then I joined the <a href="http://www.ju.edu.jo/" target="_blank">University of Jordan-</a><a href="http://www.ju.edu.jo/" target="_blank">department of physics</a>, where I finished my B.Sc in physics, then my M.Sc. in condensed matter solid state physics. During the time I was doing my Masters, I was a high school teacher of physics.
