Driving Directions

From I-5

Take N.E. 45th St exit heading east. Go 8 blocks.

Turn right (toward south) on 15th Ave. N.E.

Turn left at N.E. 40th Ave. N.E. onto campus.

Stop at the guard house, tell them you are with the PNACP. They should put you in area W26.

Pay your bill and ask directions to parking area W26. You will be told to turn around and go off campus.

Parking on campus is at a premium and expensive. There is essentially no parking on the street within a mile of campus (unless you get there at 6:00 AM). If possible, leave your car at your hotel and walk to the meeting buildings. A shuttle will be available from the Silver Cloud Motel. Make reservations at the desk when you check in. The shuttle runs every half hour from 7:00 AM and holds 10 people.

Taxi:

Fare is $1.80/mile; a one way trip for a single passenger to the University costs approximately $35. Taxis are available for hire outside the baggage claim. SHUTTLE EXPRESS
: 206-622-1424 or (within Washington) 1-800-487-7433. Service to the Unveristy costs $21 per person ($28 for 2 people). When you get off the plane, go to one of the Traveler's Information Centers, pick up the courtesy phone and dial 48. GRAYLINE AIRPORT EXPRESS BUS
: Travels to downtown Seattle; tickets are $7.50 one way and $13.00 round-trip. Travelers may purchase tickets at the airport booths or from the driver. Get off the bus at the Westin Hotel (5th & Stewart), where you may transfer to Metro (city) buses number 74, 302, 305 on the southeast corner of 5th & Stewart. See below for more information on Metro buses. METRO:
(public transit) serves the greater Seattle/King County area. Fares are based on when and where you travel. Trips wholly within or beyond the Seattle city limits cost $1.25 during the morning or afternoon commute and $1.00 all other times Bus trips that cross the Seattle city limits cost $1.75 during the morning/afternoon commute and $1.25 all other times. To travel from the aiport to the University via Metro, board bus number 194 at the south end of the airport terminal; this bus will take you to downtown Seattle. Request a transfer when boarding the bus. Exit the bus at the University station in the downtown bus tunnel and board a northbound bus number 71, 72, or 73. Exit at Northeast Campus Parkway and Brooklyn Avenue Northeast. Walk along Campus Parkway; turn right onto 15th Northeast. At 40th Northeast turn left onto campus and follow Stevens Way to the Physics and Astronomy Building.

Driving:
Drive north on I-5 to the 45th St Northeast exit. Turn right (east) onto 45th and drive approximately eight blocks and turn right (south) onto 15th Ave. Northeast. Drive approximately five blocks and turn left at Northeast 40th St. onto campus. Stop at the guard house and ask directions to appropriate parking and the Physics Building.
